Ed Whitehead
Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospice, Sarnia on Monday, June 14, 2010. Ed Whitehead aged 67 years of Corunna. Beloved husband of 20 years to Sharon. Loving son-in-law of Mildred Hancock and the late Mirn (2002). Ed will be forever missed by his companion Morris. He was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Elizabeth Goodacre. He was an avid Sarnia Sting fan and supporter and was retired from CSX Railroad after 38 years of service. Friends will be received at the KNIGHT FUNERAL HOME, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 7 - 9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Fr. Paul Woolley officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in Parkhill Cemetery. Winger- Peacefully with his family by his side after a brief battle with cancer at Bluewater Health-Mitton St. Site, Sarnia on Saturday February 13, 2010. Ronald William Winger, age 66 years of Corunna. Beloved husband of Florence. Loving son of Kaye Winger of Leamington. Dear father of Greg Winger, Jeff Winger and his wife Kim, Lori Drouillard and her husband Ed all of Windsor, Eric Crone and his wife Marnie of Corunna and Mark Crone and his wife Lori of Courtright. Treasured grandfather of Emily, Olivia, Katie, Renee, Susan, Samantha, Kyle, Dillon, Ethan, Hannah, Lily, Jenson and Elevanne. Ron is also survived by his sister Drinda Doyle and her husband Richard of Leamington. Predeceased by his father Bill (2009) and by his brother Randy (1975). Ron was the President of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #447-Corunna and had retired from Shell Canada. David John Reed
REED, David John - Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 26, 2009, David John Reed, age 60. Dear son of the late Mervyn (1982) and Ina (1998) Reed of Mooretown, ON. Loving father of Joshua of Toronto and Jessica (Jake) Skinner of Morrisburg, ON. Beloved grandfather of Gray and Darwin. Dear brother of Louise (Al) Gabrielli of Thorold and Paul (Sheila) Reed of Sarnia. Uncle of Ami, Isaac, Amy, Andrew and Auburn. Will be missed by his good buddy Newton. David enjoyed his 15 years of service working for John at Williams Landscaping. David belonged to Corunna Legion, where he enjoyed doing his crosswords, and spent many hours volunteering his time. He enjoyed the fellowship of the many people he knew there. David was well-known for his delicious baked beans. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Corunna Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home, just prior to the funeral service Saturday at 10:45 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sarnia. The interment will take place at Sutherland Cemetery, Courtright, at 2:30 p.m. A special thank-you to Dr. Glen Maddison, Imelda from Bayshore, Ann Marie from Pro Resp, and all the CCAC staff, for their wonderful care.
